Aga Khan Museum – Bus Tour & Exhibition


Enjoy a relaxing and informative trip to the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto.

Aga Khan museumOpened in September 2014, the museum is part of a stunning architectural complex that includes the Museum, the Aga Khan Park and the Ismaili Centre. Featuring artifacts from the 8th to the 20th century, the collection focuses on the rich artistic Muslim traditions of painting, carving, tilework, ceramics, calligraphy,and textiles, from Spain to Southeast Asia.

The docent-guided tour will include entrance to four exhibitions; the permanent collection, the Lost Dhow, and two Indian inspired painting exhibitions, plus a separate guided architectural tour and visit to the dynamic Ismaili Prayer Hall.

Luxury coach trip departs University Plaza, Dundas, at 9:00am and returns at 5:00pm.
Fee includes bus, entrance, tours, and Carnegie door prizes.
Ample time allowed for lunch (not included) at the beautiful Diwan restaurant or the café, revisiting the galleries or shopping in the gift shop.

Buy your individual tickets in person at the Carnegie Gallery, 10 King St. West in downtown Dundas, or reserve tickets and pay with your credit card by calling 905-627-4265. Note that if paying over the phone, you will still need to pick up your trip voucher from the Gallery before the day of the trip.

Bus trip participants are asked to pre-select between Lunch in the Diwan restaurant OR a Boxed Lunch prepared by the café. Your selection will be recorded on your trip voucher. Diwan offers fine dining at the Aga Kahn Museum.  Diwan’s elegant interior features 19th century wooden panels hand-carved and painted in Damascus.  A special a la carte menu has been arranged for our group. For the Boxed Lunch, choose from turkey, cheese, or vegan options.
