Photographs & Collages

June 5 – August 2, 2015
Opening reception Friday June 5, 7-9:30pm

Talk with Isaacs as he works Saturday June 27, 1-3pm

Brad Isaacs invitationThe McMaster Museum of Art in partnership with the Carnegie Gallery presents a selection of Brad Isaacs works in TBA Artspace at the Carnegie Gallery, housed in the Gallery’s sleek new Atrium addition to its historic building in Downtown Dundas.

This exhibition is a companion to Isaac’s concurrent exhibition at McMaster Museum of Art titled the Visible Universe including the Fires of Hell. These shows inhabit the border between real and simulated, natural and artificial, visible and invisible. At the heart is a concern with how the ways in which we build an understanding of nature serve as a foundation for larger social and psychological structures.

Brad Isaacs is an artist and independent curator based in London, Ontario. He holds an MFA from the University of Western Ontario and has exhibited at galleries such as the Ottawa Art Gallery, Katzman Kamen Gallery, and Hamilton Artists Inc. His work in photography, video, collage and installation investigates the complex relationships between people and nature.

Special Programme with the Artist Saturday June 27 , 1-3 pm at the Carnegie, free admission. Talk with Isaacs as he works on collage projects in a small studio space in the Gallery.
