Christina Sealey, invitationChristina Sealey is an artist and musician living in Hamilton, Ontario. She studied fine art at McMaster University and completed her MFA in Drawing and Painting at the Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland in 1999. A figurative painter, the focus of Christina’s visual work has been on the relationship people and place and the permeability between self and the environment. Christina has exhibited throughout Canada and the UK in both public and commercial galleries and artist-run centres and regularly performs her music throughout Europe and North America. Her work is represented in private, corporate and public collections.  She has been awarded grants for her painting and audio work from both the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts and from private foundations including the Pollock Krasner Foundation and Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.  Christina is currently teaching drawing and painting at OCAD University. She is an Artist Member at the Carnegie Gallery and has been in exhibition with other Hamilton Artists at the Art Gallery of Hamilton until February 8.
