Christina Sealey is an artist and musician based in Hamilton.  She holds an M.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland, and an Hons B.A. from McMaster University.  Since 1998, she has participated in numerous group shows at public and private galleries and had solo exhibitions at the Bau-Xi Gallery, Toronto and Vancouver; the Redhead Gallery, Toronto; and the Art Gallery of Hamilton among others.  She has been the recipient of numerous awards and her work can be found in the collections of the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Dalhousie University, Halifax; Standard Life, Scotland; the Frederick Varley Gallery, Toronto as well as in the personal collection of Margaret Trudeau.  She has been a Visiting Artist at many art venues and taught at OCADU.  Her figurative and landscape paintings examine the relationship between place and identity and the intimate connections between people and the places they inhabit.
