Cora Brittan

Hamilton, ON

Cora Brittan has been working as an artist since 1966.  She received her art training in London, England and initially worked there as an apprentice in calligraphy, illumination, and gilding.  She is known for creating highly intricate, enchanting narrative illustrations which embrace magic realism and fantasy.  She spends half of each year with her husband, artist Eric Brittan, in their studio in Mexico soaking up the influences of brightly coloured patterns, and exotic plants and animals. She has participated in many group exhibitions, studio tours and auctions,  and her solo shows include the Abozzo Gallery, Carnegie Gallery, and the Art Gallery of Burlington.
