Genie Kim – Mother Tree

Genie Kim, paintings & porcelain sculpture

June 4 – July 4, 2021

Born and raised in South Korea, Oakville artist Genie Kim brings her enchanting work to the Carnegie for the first time. The exhibition includes both paintings and porcelain sculpture exploring themes of motherhood and nurturing. Her highly detailed and delicate work is at once illustrative, playful, dreamlike and symbolic suggesting the nature of fairy tales.

Review by Regina Haggo “Genie Kim’s exquisite paintings and porcelain vases explore the nature of healing“. (The Hamilton Spectator. 25 June 2021).
