Jane Hill

Dundas, ON

Jane originally established herself as a well-known potter creating lively black and white decorative ceramics influenced by the plant forms from her garden.  She was a founding member of the Dundas Studio Tour, and exhibited her work in numerous craft shows throughout Ontario and in the U.S.  She studied and taught at the Dundas Valley School of Art, and later took classes at a small art school in Italy. Jane eventually shifted her practice to focus on still life painting and collage transferring  the graphic quality from her pottery into two-dimensional work.  She has exhibited locally in solo and group shows, including the Carnegie Gallery.
