John Richer (Sheffield, ON)
John Richer is an artist based in Sheffield, Ontario specializing in relief printmaking. His bold, detailed work is inspired by nature, often depicting plants and animals interwoven with each other. Richer’s prints invite viewers to engage within narratives of transformation, ecosystems, predator/prey relationships and our role within an evolving environment. Working with traditional printmaking tools, each print is unique – carved and printed entirely by hand. John’s work has received numerous awards in local exhibitions and can be found in private collections throughout Southern Ontario.
