An Attraction to Abstraction

An illustrated talk by Regina Haggo

Female artists played a major role in the birth of abstract art about 100 years ago, but their significance has been largely ignored. This lecture explores the contributions of the most important of these European women painters.

Regina Haggo is an art historian, public speaker, and former professor of art history in New Zealand who also writes a weekly column about art for the Hamilton Spectator.
