The Missing Women of Christmas

An Illustrated Talk by Regina Haggo

From the Three Wise Men to Santa Claus to Douglas Fir, the talking tree, males dominate the imagery of Christmas. But a look at the art of the past uncovers women who have been cut out of the Christmas scene.

Regina Haggo is an art historian, public speaker, and former professor of art history in New Zealand who also writes a weekly column about art for the Hamilton Spectator.
