Lynn Chidwick

Born in Kenya, Lynn initially obtained a Masters of Environmental Studies from York University in Toronto.  After working in that field for a number of years, she then pursued a career in stained glass.  She worked in several stained glass studios before establishing her own studio in Guelph in 2000.  Lynn’s work is influenced by the Arts and Crafts Movement,  and the aesthetics of Art Deco and Art Nouveau.  She uses a variety of methods in created her pieces including fusing, gold leafing, etching, sandblasting, carving, painting, layering, and leading.  She has designed and created numerous pieces for commercial, private and public settings, including residential commissions internationally.  Other commissions include The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County; Loon in a Balloon Publishing, Waterloo, ON;  Sorbara Law, Guelph, ON;  Women’s College Hospital, Toronto; and Dublin Street United Church, Guelph, ON.  Her work can also be found in the Aimia Corporate Art Collection, Toronto.
