Ralph Heather

Paris, ON

As a graduate of Graphic Design at Sheridan College, Ralph was an accomplished professional  Registered Graphic Designer for many years.  He has since studied locally at Centre3 and the Dundas Valley School of Art.  He now focuses on original printmaking using the traditional techniques of hand-cut wood blocks or etchings, which are hand-pulled in his studio.  His work is characterized by its strong composition, use of contrast, and the juxtaposition of pattern. He is inspired by the fields and trees of the rural landscape, as well as the local heritage of town architecture.  His award winning artwork has been exhibited  in solo and group shows  throughout Southern Ontario, and is in private collections throughout North America.
