Sydni Weatherson is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in blown and engraved glass at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Ontario. She attended Sheridan College from 2017 to 2022, graduating from the Bachelor of Crafts and Design program in spring of 2022.
“The View From Here, With You” explores abstracted landscapes and the hazy details when recalling a memory, as told through the surface of a vase. Dissecting relationships, acting as love letters, or notes of apology and remorse, these works also include engraved images of my own personal symbology. The colour palettes for each piece are drawn from landscapes from across the GTA, the Niagara Escarpment, and parts of Western Canada.
