Our Flagship Fundraising Events

Fundraising events are an integral part of the Carnegie Gallery’s continued existence and ongoing success.

Secret Gardens Tour

The Carnegie Gallery’s largest annual fundraiser is the Secret Gardens Tour held every year in June and now entering its 30th year in 2024. This popular self-directed tour features up to 10 beautiful gardens in and around Dundas and a Tea House at the Gallery.  Tickets usually go on sale in May.

Carnegie Concert Series

The Carnegie Concert Series is an entertaining fundraising event that had been hosted at the Carnegie Gallery for over 10 years. Past performers included Lori Yates, Madison Violet, and Nathan Rogers.

Carnegie Concerts now take place at the Dundas Legion,  280 King St. West,  Dundas.

Monthly Lectures

The Carnegie Gallery Lecture Series features interesting speakers on a wide variety of  art-related topics, including art history, fine art, craft techniques, and floral design. A short question and answer period concludes each talk. These monthly lectures take place in the Lower Level from September through June.

Bus Excursions

The Carnegie offers four Bus Excursions a year to local art destinations. Some of our most recent trips include the AGO, Power Plant Gallery and Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto, Pierce-Arrow Museum and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, and the Clay and Glass Museum in Kitchener-Waterloo. These day trips are very popular, often selling out quickly.

Blues & Beers 2023 musician, Paul James

Blues & Beers

Taking place annually in October, Blues & Beers is a very lively event for the Carnegie. Past performers include Jack De Keyzer and Paul James.

Classes

Children’s Art Classes

Our innovative Children’s Classes take place in the Lower Level on Saturday mornings. Led by an artist-teacher, students learn a variety of media while being inspired by their direct interaction with the exhibitions on view.  Each session concludes with an exhibition of the students’ work.
