How to Apply for an Exhibition
The Carnegie Gallery presents exhibitions of fine art and craft from regional and national Canadian artists and craftspersons. Submissions for solo or group exhibitions are juried annually by the peer-review Exhibition Selection Committee. The Committee consists of current Carnegie Gallery Artist Members and Members of the Board. Exhibitions rotate on a monthly basis and are comprised of self-directed submissions. Priority will be given to artists who have not exhibited in the space over the last 2 years.
We are looking for exhibitions of contemporary fine art and craft which meet a high level of conception, design and execution. The Carnegie Gallery is committed to providing equal opportunity to both established and emerging artists as well as supporting diversity and inclusion.
- Submissions will be accepted from April 1 to May 31st annually through the online Submission for Exhibitions Form (accessible only during this time).
- Submissions will include the following:
- CV
- Artist Statement (250 words maximum)
- Exhibition Proposal (300 words maximum)
- Images (7-10 Samples of work)
- Only complete submissions using the Submission for Exhibition form will be considered.
- Artists will be contacted via email 6 to 8 weeks after the May 31 deadline date.
